I believe heritage is what makes the difference to any city: some difference in its architecture, the streets. And everything colonial, all from the mountain. This mountain is perhaps one of the only ones, a very special mountain, and for those reasons I think it is something different. For me, that's why I believe that the lagoons and all these aspects have made UNESCO say it’s World Heritage. And I think that’s correct – it is different, isn’t it? The truth is, I feel very happy, because maybe this is a sign that yes, this town has different characteristics. I feel very happy to be a Potosíno, and I’m proud, right? It is very important, because this is how we get to know the opinion of the entire world, isn’t it? It is a sign, it is a… I don’t know, a special reference for the world and what those characteristics are. That is why they are a touristic reference more than anything, aren’t they? This heritage is more important worldwide.

It’s something special for all of Bolivia, for the city or the region of Potosí, but in general it is so that there can be this tourism at a national or international level. For the economic income, also. I think for many the most significant [thing] is economic income, especially for the city, for all Bolivia, for our government. The most important thing for me is the mountain because it has been the basis of the economy of Bolivia and at a certain time, at a global level – like it was with the Spaniards, right? The European continent, where were its beginnings? The basis for me is the Cerro Rico, I think that’s what it is. For me it is the mountain for that reason: it is an economic base, of sustenance, perhaps, for Bolivia and at a certain time, continental European. That's why perhaps it is better known not for some physical feature, but as a beginning. – Lorenzo
