Well, the city has a colonial environment and it’s… How can I explain it? As the Spanish wanted it to be. Originally, it was natural, let’s say. Everything is a copy, one might say, of the Spanish. This is very similar architecturally, to Spanish architecture. And that’s the way it is, right? It’s more colonial; it’s not who we are. Almost everything, the majority, around the centre – it must be at least 200 or 300 metres, maybe more – everything is colonial, characterised by narrow streets and balconies. Then these walls: the houses’ walls are very thick. According to history, this is because the cold is terrible here.

Because of the cold, that’s how it is done. Well, our climate [in] the city is almost purely wintry, isn’t it? It doesn’t have four seasons that are spring, summer, autumn, winter. In spring, it almost does not change. I think it's almost non-existent – we don’t see the spring here. The only time it would maybe be a little warmer, that the temperature rises a little, is in the summer. The change is more noticeable in summer. Basically it would be in that season, and the rest almost is almost like winter, almost all year, isn’t it? – Lorenzo
